cloud day #27 1st June 2014

The first day of a new month; ostensibly the first month of winter if you go by the strict 'three months four seasons' idea that is. Today's cloud activity has been sporadic, so I raced to take a picture as soon as there was this layer of cloud appearing…it's quite something, looking like curds from milk or something, or cauliflower perhaps?

cloud day #26 31st May 2014

The last day for May dawned fine and clear despite the weather predictions for warm and wet. Yay for some clouds, taken in the afternoon - not a cloud to be seen this morning!

cloud day #25 30th May 2014

This reminds me of an Old Masters painting, I think it's the gold? and perhaps something in the shape and form of the cloud, heavy and blowsy. There is a patch underneath that resembles snow on a hilly slope, or a slope-y hill, but it is in fact a patch of sky, weirdly enough.
Glorious.

cloud day #24 29th May 2014

Woke this morning to cloud, resulting in a more benign early morning temperature. The clouds this morning have a softly whipped look to them, like voluptuous folds of silk left to fall and drape...

cloud day #23 28th May 2014

A cloudless day resulted in a hazy bank of cloud in the glow of the sun's journey downwards. Auckland needs more of the dry cold that we have experienced over the last two days.

cloud day #22 27th May 2014

Perhaps I could/should have titled this blog 'sky project' rather than 'cloud project', using today's photo as evidence that not every day is going to produce clouds! It presented a dilemma, today, but I'm sure skies like this will be in the minority. This photo is really grainy and I'm not sure why as I haven't altered anything in terms of my camera...

cloud day #21 26th May 2014

If you look closely, you will see rain in the distance, falling out of the white cloud to the left and then toward the middle of the photo. There has been rain on and off at times during the day, interspersed with dazzlingly sunny, albeit cold, weather. I like the hint of soft pink showing through as the sun dawdles toward setting (well, it doesn't really dawdle at this time of year as much as sprint, it seems).
