A lighter layer on the top -  with heavier denser layer at the bottom. I guess that's a no-brainer in terms of gravity! Not very nice weather, hardly a glimmer of sun

It's been a wet and wild overnight here, continuing on into this morning. Lots of  movement in the clouds with rain, thunder and lightning. Nature at its best?

The sky says it all, and these grey cloud-filled days, while providing lots of cloud-fodder, are also a little tedious! Hoping the blue and white skies return soon...

How's this for drama? I was surprised this shot looks so dramatic, as the sky didn't appear to be quite so, well, dark. The lens doesn't lie, so they say, so it really is like this, if only for the fleeting second it took me to aim and shoot. It did lighten up afterwards, although not a great day weather-wise.
